Nick is an entrepreneur, author and professional forestry consultant with extensive experience in people management and web based technology.
He believes that by harnessing technology today, by making it fun and simple, it will enable us to grow strong and secure our futures in sustainable forestry practices.

Nick calls Australia home, where his passion for Forestry began. Previously from the South Island of New Zealand where his career kicked off in the Agriculture industry, he then turned from a hands on approach in Forestry to technical web based technologies and writing. The best part: He looks forward to traveling the World with his business and book, promoting and connecting people, providing them with new opportunities and a platform to further themselves and their businesses

About Nick

Author, Entrepreneur, Business Owner, Digital Space Pioneer, Forestry Advocate and Dad. Nick is a Director of Rencon Forestry, ForestryConnect & The Fortuitous Group. Partner and co-founder of Webforestry Intell & Quick IMS.

Originally from New Zealand Nick started conducting Agricultural business in 2003. Nick’s career transitioned to the Forest Industry in 2005 and in 2007 he moved to Australia. Throughout his forestry career Nick has been an active member of numerous forestry industry groups and committees. Including TCA, FSC Australia & Australian Forest Contractors Association.

Author of Wood Chip to Silicon Chip (available in paperback & kindle), Nick’s passion for digital web technology took effect when he launched the portal ForestryConnect.com in 2011 recognizing the need for the industry to use online tools more. Since then Nick has partnered and grown other start up forest industry businesses including work engaged with ForestWorks Ltd and other industry organisations. Today based in Melbourne Nick, enjoys keeping fit, good red wine, skiing and spending time with his family.

His belief is that by harnessing technology today, by making it fun and simple, it will enable us to grow strong and secure our futures in sustainable forestry practices.
